Aaliyah Daniel Haughton shot to fame in 1994 after her album debut Age Ain't Anything But A Numer. At the age of 15 the album was awarded Gold status. R. Kelly heavily influenced the collaboration and brought her up to the top of the charts. In 1996 Jermaine Durpri and Timbaland worked together to create the second album of hers, One In A Million. It featured the track If Your Boyfriend Only Knew as the number one. Aaliyah became a well-known R&B singer after the album's release. She starred with martial arts legend Jet Li in the 2000 action-romance film Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, a film producer, who was attending an award show in which she was cast, noticed her. She was cast in the Anne Rice-based vampire film Queen of the Damned, which came out in 2002. She then got into the Matrix by playing Zee in The Matrix Sequels having also performed as a character in The Matrix Reloaded in 2003 as well as The Matrix Revolutions in the same year. She's also appeared in major commercials featuring brands like Volvo the world's largest auto producer. The actress currently resides at Los Angeles along with her spouse, daughter, and husband. She is also pursuing her acting profession.
